About Summer Scientists
Summer Scientists was founded by a Massachusetts-certified science teacher passionate about curiosity-driven learning. Inspired by her early work as a Lead Science Educator at the Discovery Museums in Acton, MA, she saw firsthand how hands-on exploration could spark a lifelong love of learning. Her classroom experience—from coding in elementary labs to Earth systems in middle school—equips her to design lessons that are both rigorous and age-appropriate.
Summer Scientists blends that expertise into an engaging summer program where children attend two live 30-minute online classes each week and use beautifully designed workbooks for daily lessons. Each week introduces a new science theme—like ecosystems or engineering—integrated with reading, math, and social studies, and tailored for younger (K–2) and older (3–6) learners. The program is aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and designed to keep children curious, creative, and connected all summer long.
